The Nigerian Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the timely completion of the Section Three of the 61-kilometer Enugu–Port Harcourt Expressway in Enugu State.
Penpushing reports that Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, made this known when he led a federal government delegation to the site of the road project as part of a wider Citizens’ Engagement tour of the South East.
The Minister in a statement made available by his Special Assistant on Media, Rabiu Ibrahim said that modern road infrastructure is vital to economic growth, improved safety, and citizens’ welfare.

Penpushing further reports that the Minister in the statement added that the project is a visible testament to government’s resolve to complete strategic highways nationwide for the benefit of Nigerians.
The statement stated that Director of Highways, Southeast, Engineer Tony Mbiko explained that under construction by the CGC Nigeria Limited, the 61-kilometre dual carriageway (122 km in total) is valued at ₦100.8 billion, disclosing that the Enugu-bound section has been completed, while work on the remaining stretch is ongoing.
