The mobile court of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Ogun State Command, has convicted seventeen offenders for various traffic-related infractions, a step said to be a continued effort to enforce road discipline and ensure safety on major highways.
Penpushing reports that, mobile court session presided over by Magistrate O.S. Fadahunsi, following the presentation of evidence and admissions of guilt on Wednesday convicted the offenders at Ogere town of the state.
The Superintendent Route Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Afolabi Odunsi in a statement gave the analysis of the session’s legal actions is as follows: total number of offences as 30, total convictions 17, total offences fined 28 and none discharged
Penpushing further reports that the statement added that the Sector Commander, Akinwunmi Fasakin, emphasized that the stringent enforcement of traffic laws is essential to reducing road accidents and ensuring the free flow of traffic along the busy Ogere axis.
The Federal Road Safety Corps boss, however, however, urged motorists to remain law-abiding, emphasizing that the mobile court will continue its operations to penalize reckless driving and statutory violations.
Penpushing also reports that Odunsi in the statement explained that in the same vein, the Unit Commander, Assistant Corps Commander Clement Akpenwuan said the resultant effect of disobedience to traffic laws has multiplier effects on families and government.
