Nigeria Youth Organisation berths in Ogun state, inaugurates pioneer executives

The Nigeria Youth Organization (NYO) chapter of Ogun State, a Non-Governmental Organisation(NGO) has berth in Abeokuta, the state capital, with the inauguration of pioneer executives.

Penpushing reports that the Presidency under leadership of Comrade Okorie Okorie has equally approved appointments of the executives, with letter from the national secretariat of the body In Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) forwarded to them.

The copies of the letters announcing the berth and appointment of the executives to further make it authentic were forwarded to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun and Director of Department of Security Services (DSS).

Penpushing further reports other recipients of the copied letters include Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Commandant, Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and National Vice President South-West of the organization

The letters which take immediate effect, explained and emphasized that the appointments were given to them based on merit and in recognition of their numerous contributions and vast experience towards the issues affecting Nigerian youths nationwide.

Penpushing also reports that the letters stated that the executives are expected to work in line with the constitution of the organization, policies of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development an that of Ogun State Ministry of Youths.

The office of the national president of the body in the letters emphasized that executives and members are charged to give consideration to women and persons living with disabilities, and they should seek for assistance that may required to enable them function creditably

Penpushing reports that the Chairman of the Ogun State Chapter Hon Saka Olanrewaju in his acceptance speech explained that the mission of the body is to empower and mobilize the youth of Ogun State towards achieving their full potential.

‘At NYO Ogun State Chapter, our vision is to create a platform where youths can access opportunities, build their capacities, and contribute to the development of our state. We believe that the youth are the leaders of today and tomorrow, and it is our responsibility to provide them with the necessary tools, skills, and support to succeed’, he stated.

Penpushing further reports that Olanrewaju speaking of the organisation’s focus areas said it include youth empowerment, with assurance of working to equip youths with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in their chosen careers.

‘Employment Opportunities: We will collaborate with organizations and stakeholders to create employment opportunities for our youths. Entrepreneurship Development: We will support young entrepreneurs through training, mentorship, and access to funding’.

‘Security and Governance: We will play a role in tackling security challenges and promoting youth involvement in governance, recognizing the critical role youths play in shaping the future of our state’, he added.

Penpushing also reports that on the approach, Olanrewaju the objectives will be through capacity building by providing training and workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of the youths.

‘Partnerships: Collaborating with organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders to create opportunities for our youths. Advocacy: Advocating for the rights and interests of youths in Ogun State’.

‘We are committed to ensuring that all youths in Ogun State have a voice and an opportunity to participate in our organization. Specifically, we call on women and persons with disabilities (PWDs) to join us and be part of our structure’, he said.

‘We believe that their inclusion and participation are essential to achieving our vision and mission. We will work to create a platform that is inclusive, accessible, and equitable for all’, Olanrewaju added.

‘I urge all youths in Ogun State to join us in this noble cause. Let us work together to build a brighter future for ourselves and for our state. I also call on organizations and stakeholders to partner with us in our mission to empower and mobilize the youth’, he emphasised.

Penpushing reports that the chairman expressed appreciation to the national leadership of the body for the unwavering support and guidance, adding that the organization has continued to thrive and make meaningful impacts in the lives of Nigerian youths.

The other executives are Comrade Sekinat Jimoh (Vice Chairman), Ambassador Maryam Olasunbo Ajala (Secretary), Aliyu Babatunde Fatai (Director of Transport and Logistics) Ismail Babatunde Bude (Publicity Secretary) and Adeleye Samuel Joshua (Auditor)

Penpushing further reports that the list includes Comrade Sarah Oketade (Local Government Secretary), Comrade Babatunde Ibrahim (State Media Director), Bammeke Temitope Oluwaseun (Vice Chairman, Ogun West Senatorial District) Comrade Popoola Azeez Olamide (Local Government Publicity Secretary)

The others are Comrade Awodipe Oreoluwa Adeyinka (Ikenne Local Government Chairman), Comrade Olajuwon Usman (Director of Welfare Services Ipokia Local Government), Comrade Jimoh Temitope (Welfare Secretary of Ifo local government and Comrade Akinlabi Blessing Deborah (State Organising Secretary), Comrade Olayinka Onigbinde (Vice Chairman, Ogun Central Senatorial District}

Penpushing also reports that they equally include Comrade Osonuga Abimbola (Chief of Staff), Comrade Sikiru Ismail Okelola (Director of Communication), Comrade Akinbola Hammend Rotham (Deputy Director, Media and Publicity) and Comrade Aransiola Nuriyah Damilola (State Director of Special Duty)

The others are Comrade Haruna Sadeeq (Director of Education), Odedina Benjamin Ayodele (Local Government Secretary, Ijebu North), Muizz Olanrewaju Olatunji (Director of Education, Abeokuta North) Abayomi Salako (Director of PWDs), Comrade Lamidi Olalekan (State Treasurer) and Ambassador Olaleye Damilare Rasheed (Director of Finance)
