The remains of 27-year-old singer Ilerioluwa Aloba popularly called “Mohbad” continued to languished in the morgue, three years after his death which occurred on September 12, 2023, as family crisis persists

Penpushing reports that it would be recalled that Mohbad died in a controversial circumstance which plunged the entertainment world into disbelief and mourning, and has continued to raise questions

The death of the popular musician remained unanswered with several allegations still unresolved despite multiple coroner’s inquest and an autopsy, questions surrounding the sad incident

Penpushing further reports that the deceased father has continued to demand accountability for those responsible for his death, while little progress appears to have been made in the case, while it would be recalled that the body was exhumed by police authorities for investigation months after his burial,

The father of the late singer has continued to raise doubt over the paternity of the deceased son, Liam, accusing the widow of unfaithfulness and alleged waywardness while staying with her late husband.

Penpushing also reports that it would be recalled that following the sudden death, celebrities, family members and fans launched a widespread campaign demanding justice for the singer, and it was the campaign which led to the exhumation of his remains for an autopsy, a coroner’s inquest.

The campaign equally led to the arrest of some associates of the deceased, including Sam Larry, Naira Marley, Ibrahim “Primeboy” Owodunni and Ayobami “Spending” Sadiq, among others, however, they were later released by the authorities and cleared of allegations linking them to the death.

Penpushing reports that the bereaved father in 2024, released a tribute album, “Itunu”, meaning “Comfort”, to commemorate the singer’s posthumous 28th birthday, adding that the delay in burying Mohbad stemmed from delays in conducting a DNA test on Liam and releasing the autopsy results.

The late musician father continued to insist on conducting a DNA test on Liam and vowed to sue the widow even if the results showed that his late son fathered the child, while Naira Marley also explained that he had made peace with Mohbad before his death, but his name remained closely associated with the controversy surrounding the singer’s death.

Penpushing further reports that he called on the Lagos State Government to conduct a forensic analysis of the deceased phone after rejecting an earlier court decision and insisting on additional investigations in his pursuit of justice.

The widow, however, attacked her father-in-law over his demand for a DNA test, arguing that  he could not manipulate the process, and thereafter took legal steps to safeguard her late husband’s estate, while the father-in-law maintained that there was no valid marriage between his son and Wunmi.

Penpushing also reports that the deceased management in the same year, filed a ₦200 million defamation suit against his father, while at the same time, Naira Marley shared his side of the story about the death of his former signee in a music video titled “Official Interview”, among other developments, and released a documentary in which he denied killing Mohbad.
