The General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church (VLBC) International, Apostle Lawrence Achudume has cautioned against the destructive effects of envy and jealousy among the people across the globe.

Penpushing reports that Achudume gave the caution note on the theme, ’Limitless’ during the one-year remembrance service of his wife, Rev. Fola Achudume, held at Victory Cathedral, along Ajebo Road in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital

The renowned and frankly speaking cleric called on need for all people to embrace the unique grace of God upon their lives, emphasizing that envy and jealousy can severely hinder personal progress and fuel unnecessary conflict and bitterness.

Penpushing further reports that he pointed out that such emotions often manifest through anger and resentment towards others who appear more successful, warning that envy and jealousy can breed discord

“Envy and jealousy can breed discord, discouragement, and bitterness in people’s lives. When individuals allow these emotions to consume them, they become embroiled in conflicts and struggles that can hinder their progress and development’, he stated

Penpushing also reports that Achudume explained that all achievements are rooted in God’s grace, and encouraged individuals to appreciate their own divine allocation rather than coveting what belongs to others.

“What God has graced one person with may differ from what God has graced another with. Therefore, it’s essential for people to stand in their lane and focus on the grace given to them,” he said.

Penpushing reports that he stated that God’s grace empowers individuals to fulfil their purpose, succeed, and overcome challenges, calling on the congregation to walk boldly in that grace, referencing Romans 8:35–39 as assurance that nothing can separate believers from the love of God.

The clergyman paying tribute to his late wife, described her as an amiable and very gracious woman who never strayed from her God-given path, but focused on what God assigned her to do

“She focused on doing what God asked her to do without comparison or competition with others. Her life was a testament to the power of God’s grace, and her legacy continues to inspire many’ he said.

Penpushing further reports that the remembrance service equally featured an empowerment programme hosted by Royal Ladies International, a non-governmental organisation founded by the deceased, as well as provided support to widows and the elderly.
