The popular lewd juju and highlife musician Iyun Janet Ajilore, popularly known as St. Janet has been reported dead on Saturday after a brief illness; however, the nature of the ailment was unknown as at the time of filing this report.
Penpushing reports that publisher and socialite, Otunba Femi Davies, announced demise of St Janet in a post shared on his Facebook page on Sunday, a development which has thrown the Nigerian entertainment industry into mourning.

Penpushing further reports that the deceased was widely celebrated for her energetic performances and unique style, which earned her a loyal fan base within Nigeria’s Juju music community and beyond.
The late St Janet throughout her career, became a familiar figure at social events and celebrations, captivating audiences with her lively stagecraft and party-themed songs that resonated with many music lovers.
Penpushing also reports that her contributions to the Juju and Highlife genres helped cement her place among notable entertainers in the industry, however, since news of her her death broke tributes have continued to pour in from fans, colleagues and admirers, many of whom have described her as a talented entertainer whose music brought joy to countless people and occasions.
