The Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo has visited, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu on Wednesday at his (Tinubu) private residence in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Penpushing reports that Osinbajo visit was coming months after the primary of the party, where he (Osinbajo) contested against the former Lagos State Governor and leader of the party, but lost at the poll to Tinubu alongside other contestants
The Presidential candidate of the ruling party, it is recalled that, shortly after the primary of the party visited Osinbajo to seek his support, but since the inauguration of the campaign team of Tinubu, the Vice President has not been offered any major role
Penpushing further reports that, political sources, however, said the duo have not been in good term since the outcome of the presidential primary of the party held in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
The presidency had sometime claimed that it was President Muhammadu Buhari who asked that Osinbajo and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, be excused from campaign activities to enable them concentrate on governance.
Penpushing also reports that, the agenda and details of Osinbajo and Tinubu meeting was not made public as at the time of filing this report, while photographs shared at the end of the meeting showed presence of Kashim Shettima, who is running mate of Tinubu.
The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in a tweet via his Twitter handle, however stated that they (Tinubu and Osinbajo) discussed important national issues, and did not disclosed the issues addressed.
“I, alongside my running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, this evening received Vice President Yemi Osinbajo @ProfOsinbajo at my Abuja residence. We shared time discussing some important national issues,” the tweet reads.
