The family of Osile Oke-Ona, Oba Adedapo Tejuoso on Saturday, held remembrance service and reception in honour of the late matriarch of the family, Chief (Mrs) Bisoye Tejuoso who died 30 years ago.

Penpushing reports that the programme kick started with a church service held at African Church Cathedral of St James Idi-Ape, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital, attended by the famous Tejuoso family both at home and diaspora, which also include grandchildren and great grandchildren

The deceased was the third Iyalode of Egbaland, a foremost and first Nigeria’s female industrialist, while order of programme include processional hymn, a minute of silence in memory of the deceased, praise and worship, special prayer for the family and sermon

Penpushing further reports that others are thanksgiving, prayer and benediction, visit to the grave side, unveiling the memorial of the late Tejuoso and concluded with withdrawal hymn

The Most Rev Julius Oludotun Ogunseye in his remarks said the deceased was Godly and a known philanthropist, who never disrespected clerics inspite of her wealth recalling that she was first woman to donate a bus for the church   

“Mama was a lover of God during her time and she also fear God and look for wellbeing of the Priest and she is also the first woman to donate a bus to the church in the whole of Egbaland. She never disrespects any Clergyman of God and she is a philanthropist woman”, Ogunseye said.

Penpushing also reports that the Most Reverend urged the congregations including the family and well-wisher to make use of the deceased legacy and also to follow her good steps while alive.

The train of the ceremony was thereafter moved to Marque Events Centre, Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta for reception where guests were treated to delicious meals and drinks of all sort

Penpushing reports that the reception was ignited by the renowned and veteran Juju Musician, Chief Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi, who dished out various melody tunes, as family and their guests displayed their dancing skills

The senior wife of Osile Oke-Ona Egba, Omolara Tejuoso who spoke on behalf of other Oloris described Mama as a mother in million, who was caring to her family and those who had opportunity to know her

” Mama was a caring mother. She was a good business woman who can see talent from afar and identify it and also, she is a hardworking woman who barely sleep four hour because she always makes sure everything is going well and everyone is okay and her live was a live to be emulated’, she said

‘She was a very pleasant woman, diligence and very friendly and teach people with her character and she doesn’t tolerate laziness, she also accommodates people an she has built a good legacy for us the children and her great-grandchildren and I thank God for her life and for living us a good legacy. She was a mother of a great legacy, a good mentor and also inspired many people which includes the late Iyalode Chief (Mrs) Alaba Lawson, who follow her legacy’

Penpushing further reports that former Ogun State first lady Chief (Mrs) Olufusho Amosun in her remarks eulogized the deceased who she described as hardworking and also industrious woman.

The former first lady added that Mama built herself from the scratch, adding that judging from her offspring, the Osile Oke-Ona and the grandchildren it was a clear testimonial that the deceased lived a fulfil live, adding that her legacy remains a relevant factor for the success story of the family.

‘Many people have died less than five years ago and nobody is speaking about them, they haven’t left the good print in the sound of time, Mama left a monarch behind which is the Oba Adedapo Tejuoso and we all know the family. Mama legacy will continue to live on and that the seed she left behind will continue to germinate’ Amosun added
