The Rivers State Administrator, Ibok-Ete Ibas, has appointed sole administrators for the 23 local government areas of Rivers state, as well as appointment of chairperson for the local election commission.
Penpushing reports that the retired vice admiral of the Nigerian Navy, made this known in a statement by the secretary to the Rivers State Government, Ibibia Worika on Wednesday in Port Harcourt.
The new local government administrators include Okroiyobi Animete (Abua/Odual); Goodluck Iheancho, (Ahoada East); Promise Jacob, (Ahoada West); Tamunotonye Peters, (Akuku Toru) and Atajit Frances (Andoni).
Penpushing further reports that others are Ibiaquve Charles, (Asari-Toru); Kingsley Banogo, (Bonny); Sokari Francis, (Dengema); Gloria Obo(Dibiah), Eleme; Franklin Ajinwon (Emohua); Onyenachi Nwankwor, (Etche). Gospel Kpee,(Gokana); Isaiah Nobuawu( Ikwerre).
The list include Baridum Nwibere (Khana), Clifford Walter (Obio/Akpor), Chukwuma Aje, (Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni), Eliel Owubokir, (Ogu/Bolo), Thompson Isodike (Okrika); Manager Wala, (Omuma); Fred Apiafi, (Opobo/Nkoro); Eletuoo Ihenacho, (Oyigbo); Sam Kalagbor, (Port Harcourt) and Nuka Gbopah,(Tai).
Penpushing also reports that Ibas equally approved the appointment of Michael Odey as the Chairperson of the State Independent Electoral Commission, while members include Lazarus Torbira, Arthur Nwafor, Godfrey Mbgudiogha, Joyce Akaninwor, Olive Brue, and Chidi Halliday.
Meanwhile, the sole administrator in same vein, approved the reconstitution of some boards of agencies, commissions, and parastatals, who were earlier suspended.
