A former Governor of Abia State and Senator representing Abia North District at the National Assembly, Orji Kali has lost his wife, Ifeoma Kalu, but as at the time of filing this report, the nature and place of death of the woman was unknown
Penpushing reports that Kalu, Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate, a senator, won re-election recently, and is campaigning for the Senate presidency announced the death of his wife who he got married to in December 1989.
The former Governor announcing the demise of the 61-year old Medical Doctor in a statement on Monday posted on his verified Facebook page said he announced with a heavy heart and pain the passing on to eternal glory of Ifeoma Ada Kalu
Penpushing further reports that the bereaved husband described the deceased as a woman of virtue who was committed to the service of God and humanity, adding that a memorial service in honour of his late wife was scheduled to be held in the United States of America(USA).
“With a heavy heart and pain, we announce the passing on to eternal glory of Mrs Ifeoma Ada Kalu aged 61 years. Please, remember her and her loved ones in prayers at this difficult period. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen’, he wrote.
