The Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has approved recruitment of additional 700 personnel into Ogun State Security Network Agency known as Amotekun, a decision said to be a decisive move aimed at strengthening the numerical strength and capacity of the agency.

Penpushing reports that the Corps Commander Brigadier General Alade Adedigba (rtd) made this known in a statement stressing that the initiative underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing security measures across Ogun State and ensuring the safety of all residents.

The Corps Commander explained that interested applicants are encouraged to apply free of charge through the following link: ogunstateamotekun.com.ng. stating that application period will be open from 29th October to 18th November, 2024.

‘Following the application phase, a comprehensive screening exercise is scheduled to take place from 25th November to 11th December, 2024. Prospective applicants are urged to prepare adequately and adhere to the guidelines provided during this process’, Adedigba said.

Penpushing further reports that the statement said this recruitment drive represents a significant step forward in the ongoing efforts to bolster the capacity of the Amotekun Corps, enabling the agency to better serve and protect the citizens of Ogun State.

‘We invite all eligible and interested individuals to take part in this important initiative and contribute to the collective security of our communities. For any inquiries or additional information, please visit our official website or contact our office directly. Together, we can create a safer, more secure Ogun State for everyone’, the statement read.
