The consensus Governorship flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State ahead of 2027 elections, Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly called Yayi has admitted the political relevance of Senator Iyabo Obasanjo and sought for her support ahead of the 2027 elections.
Penpushing reports that Adeola made this known on Tuesday during his visit to the former Governorship aspirant of the ruling party, at a meeting held in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital, explaining that the visit was to request to team up with him for victorious outing for the party.
The Governorship hopeful emphasized that the former female governorship aspirant is a force to be reckon with, adding that her emergence for the race was a clear testimonial of her qualities
‘My reaching out is an engagement, that’s why I am here today to speak to my sister and all her supporters to seek their support and understanding come 2027 I want to see an Ogun state that everybody come together, work together for the overall development of our dear state, so basically I am here to seek for her support and timely for the forthcoming general elections come 2027 and our party All Progressives Congress can come out victorious’, Adeola added
Penpushing further reports that Adeola explained that references he got since she shows interest for the Governorship seat, has being highly commendable from supporters, from people around the length and breadth of the state.
The Senator stated that what people said about her is highly commendable, adding that he (Adeola) is very happy because that shows that she will remain a force to be reckon with, not only in Ogun state
‘Well, I have said it she is a well-known Nigerian, who have served both at the state level, having served as commissioner for health and also as Senator Federal Republic of Nigeria, so she’s a force to be reckon with’, he stated
‘And references I got since she show interest for the Governor, has being highly commendable from supporters, from people around the length and breadth of this state. What they said about her is highly commendable and I am very happy because that shows that she will remain a force to be reckon with, not only in Ogun state, even beyond Ogun state’
‘And I commend her, I celebrate her for that good work she has done when opportunity beckon on her to serve at any capacity that has been given to her and thank her, I look forward to work with her into the future, so that we can take Ogun state to next level.
Penpushing also reports that Adeola said he was ready to key into Obasanjo’s vision, intention, programme and manifesto and bring it to his own so that together they can pull all these together to do great things for this state
‘I enjoy her zeal when she came out for the race, that’s good and that’s gender sensitivity that a woman coming forth to show interest, yes I have something to offer to govern this state and I celebrate her and I have said it to her vision, her intention and her programme and manifesto, I am ready to key into it, bring it to my own so that together we can pull all these together to do great things for this state, so that Ogun state can move beyond what we are currently seeing’, Adeola added
