The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has appointed Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi as his new Chief of Staff, and this is coming few days after he announced dissolution of his cabinet, the dissolution which also affected the immediate past Chief of Staff.
Penpushing reports that the appointment of Ogunwuyi as the new Chief of Staff was contained in letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun, which disclosed that the appointment takes immediate effect.
The new Chief of Staff was named in 2019 the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Investment, later appointed Director-General of the Oyo State Investment and Public, Private Partnership Agency (OYSIPPPA), following the passage of the law setting up the agency.
Penpushing further reports that as the Director General of Public, Private Partnership Agency (OYSIPPPA),, Ogunwuyi midwife series of Investment initiatives including the Alternative Project Funding Approach (APFA), which has helped the state in the execution of critical infrastructure projects.
The new Chief of Staff , served as a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly between 2011 and 2015, in 2015, he was elected as the member representing Ogbomoso North/South and Oriire Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Penpushing also reports that, Ogunwuyi holds a B.Sc. degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and he is a certified Accountant and Financial consultant
