The founder of Gideon Orphanage and owner of Gideon Car Hires, Dr. (Mrs) Oluwatoyin Banjo has petitioned the Nigeria Police Force over alleged fraudulent misrepresentation and malicious impersonation against one Mrs. Loveth Chidinma Mmadubuike.
Penpushing reports that Banjo through her lawyer A.J. Ogwuche in the petition sent to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex, Alagbon Close, Ikoyi-Lagos, appealed to the authorities to conduct investigation and necessary action against the accused woman
The counsel in the petition titled RE: Fraudulent Misrepresentation And Malicious Impersonation’ said the alleged woman has been using Banjo’s profile picture as a selling point for her business without her consent
‘We act as solicitors for Dr. Mrs. Oluwatoyin Banjo of 6, Unit 4, Akin Laguda Drive, Merit Estate, Lagos State (“Our Client”), on whose behalf and express instructions we submit this petition to your good office for investigation and necessary action against Mrs. Loveth Chidinma Mmadubuike’, the lawyer wrote
‘Our client is a successful businesswoman, founder of Gideon Orphanage and owner of Gideon Car Hires, who has built trust in her name and profile. Her profile picture is a selling point for her business’, he added.
‘Sometime earlier in April, 2026, a random person called our client to enquire about Sponsor Ease Travels, insinuating that our client is the founder of the business. Further enquiry uncovered the fact that our client’s pictures are everywhere on the business’ platform. This prompted our client to verify the statement’, the petition emphasised.
‘On 16th of April, 2026, one of our client’s managers – Mr. Apata Oluwaseun – discovered that the profile picture of our client was conspicuously hung in the office of the accused person. This confirmed the earlier information received by our client. Further verification showed that the inscription under of client’s picture is Dr. Mrs Adeyemi Adesina as the Managing Director.
‘We therefore seek the intervention of your good office to investigate this matter and bring the accused person to book. We appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and assure you of our highest regards’, the petitioner emphasised.
