The General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church (VLBC), Apostle Lawrence Achudume has stormed his homestead Umubu Amai Community, Ukwuani Local Government in Delta State, to empower 200 petty traders.

Penpushing reports that Achudume in company of his mother, Madam Clara Achudume who was full of emotions coupled with joy, gave each of the beneficiaries the sum of N10,000 each to support business activities of the womenfolk in the community

The renowned cleric encouraged the beneficiaries to use the money given judiciously so as to make maximum returns, assuring residents of his hometown of his continued support and outreach programmes.

Penpushing further reports that Achudume while taking cognizance of the current hardship being faced by citizens, said such empowerment was his little way of ameliorating their plight and giving back to the society

The General Overseer called on the government to as a matter of urgency look into the challenges being faced by rural dwellers who find it difficult to transport their farm produce and pay their children’s school fees.

Penpushing also reports that a community leader, Paul Aguonye in his remarks lauded the clergyman describing him as a worthy son of Amai Community who has always contributed to the upkeep and welfare of the people of the area.

The High Chief pointed out that the cleric always gives rice, chicken, condiments and cow to different households in the community during yuletide, adding that the empowerment will go a long way to alleviate the sufferings of the people.

Penpushing reports that the excited mother of the Apostle embarked on thrilling dance with him and the beneficiaries thanking God for giving her the wherewithal as a single mother to take care of his son and his siblings.

The joyful mother said she never had any inkling that her son, who is today a world-acclaimed cleric would become highly sought-after, emphasizing that it gives her a great sense of fulfilment to witness such during her lifetime.

Penpushing further reports that the mother who was full of praise and gratitude to God went down memory lane, recalling his (Achudume) growing up days, and expressed happiness that God give her son the privilege to give back to his community.
