The management of Penpushing Media, owner of online newspaper and television on Thursday donated food item of bag of rice to Juvenile Correctional home, owned by the Ogun State Government, situated in Asero area of Abeokuta.
Penpushing reports that the media team led by the founder Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji, and Sina Adefolahan (Secretary Planning Committee) as well as three interns were welcomed by the officials of the home, under the jurisdiction of Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
The founder while addressing the officials and children of the home explained that the token donation was part of the Penpushing Media policy, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to assist the needy and less privileged.

Penpushing further reports that Kayode-Adedeji stated that the organization as part of its responsibility of reportage of the plight of the needy, resolved on need to address some of the challenges.
‘It is known that media always report the plights of the needy and less privileged and leave their fates in the hands of the general public, but at Penpushing Media we look further and resolved that we should be part of providing solutions and succor to them, hence, embarked on effective corporate social responsibility’, he stated
Penpushing further reports that the veteran journalist disclosed that last year, similar gestures was extended to Stella Obasanjo Home located in Government Reservation Area (GRA), Abeokuta.
The founder emphasized that the editorial board, management and planning committee had resolved that it is going to be a continuous exercise, which will be spread across motherless homes, correctional centres in the state and environs

Penpushing also reports that he encouraged the children to remain hopeful, and not regard the correctional centre, as permanent home, but just a transit for better future, recalling that record has it that a former President of Gabon, Ali Bongo was at a time of his life raised from motherless home.
The founder emphasized that, that was a good example that the children at the juvenile home can rise to that stage as well, if they are well determined, stressing that they should not see their present plight as end of their lives.
‘A record has it that one of the former President in Africa, Ali Bongo was raised in motherless home, and if he can make it to that level, there is tendency that we can have Governors, President from this home. I want you to be optimistic and God is there for all of you’, Kayode-Adedeji said
“You should see your stay here as something temporary because it is just a transit to somewhere greater. Always remember that you want to be relevant to society in the future,” he advised.

Penpushing reports that Adefolahan in his remarks while addressing the children of the home said they should believe in themselves, regardless of the circumstances, and should remain disciplined, embrace positive behavior.
The Secretary Planning Committee reminded them that God created everyone with unique abilities, urging them not to see themselves as inferior but as individuals destined for greatness, adding that the initiative underscores Penpushing Media’s philosophy of complementing its journalistic mandate with humanitarian contributions that foster societal growth and development.
Penpushing also reports that he emphasized that the media outlet is readily available to support rehabilitation and youth development efforts, and urged the government and relevant authorities to partner with the organization to improve conditions and offer hope to the needy and less privileged.
The committee scribe emphasized the importance of personal growth and learning from past mistakes, reminding the juveniles that their current situation does not define their future, and appreciated the officials of the centre for proper welfare on the children.
Penpushing reports a female juvenile who spoke on behalf of her colleagues expressed appreciation to Penpushing Media for the gesture, describing it as a valuable contribution to their welfare and equally promised that they would all turn a new leaf to become relevant in the society.
