The renowned Nigerian Actor and Director Yomi Fash-Lanso is set to feature in “Asiyanbi,” a stage adaptation of the movie: “Ti Oluwa Ni Ile’, which is scheduled to premiere on October 4, 2024 at Terra Kulture in Lagos State.
Penpushing reports that Fash-Lanso was quoted saying that the movie will thereafter taking to other parts of the country, as he also called on practitioners and other stakeholders on need to work towards revival of stage play
My name is Yomi Fash-Lanso. I will be participating in coming stage play written by Baba Wande, titled "Asiyanbi". I will be the actor for JP and it will be held on 4th October, 2024 at Terra Kulture, Victoria Island Lagos’, he affirmed.
The Producer emphasized that he is an actor in the play, stressing the importance to revive stage play in Nigeria, arguing that it should be going simultaneously with the film production, expressing optimism that this will further boost the entertainment industry.
Penpushing further reports that Fash-Lanso, assured that the days of stage play is coming back, adding that it should not be allow to fade away and that the industry is trying to shift a bit from film production to stage plays.
The household name artiste commended the movie producers for their regular and continued support as well as contributions towards the growth of the entertainment industry, and not leaving out the actors.
Penpushing also reports that Fash-Lanso who confirmed Ropo Ewenla as Director of the production disclosed that other notable entertainment industry gurus to participate include Baba Wande, Aisha Lawal, Jude Chukwuka Yaw, Dele Omo Woli, Lekan Agba Inaki, and Jigan Baba Oja among others
The actor disclosed that on completion of stage play in South-West of Nigeria, it will thereafter be move to United Kingdom, United States of America and Trinidad and Tobago among other foreign countries across the globe.
