The wife of Nigeria’s President, Aisha Buhari is to lead women wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential campaign, while the name of the Vice President’s wife, Dolapo Osinbajo has been found to be missing on the list.
Penpushing reports that, it is recalled that in similar vein, about a week ago the exclusion of the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo was noticeable from the list of the party Presidential Campaign Council released by the All Progressives Congress(APC).
The latest list on the composition of the women wing issued by Rinsola Abiola showed that, other members include Remi Tinubu, wife of the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and Nana Shettima, wife of the Vice Presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima, will serve as chair and co-chairman.
Penpushing further report that, the list showed that a former member of the House of Representatives from Borno State, Asabe Villita was appointed the national coordinator of the team with Lauretta Onochie as her deputy.
The wives of Governors are to coordinate their states and they include; Zainab Bagudu as the zonal head of North-west, Falmata Zulum for North-east, Olufolake Abdulrasaq for North-central, Claudian Sanwo-Olu for South-west, Chioma Uzodinma for South-east and Linda Ayade for South-south.
Penpushing also reports that the statement added that, all ministers’ wives, all female senators, all female ministers and all All Progressives Congress (APC) deputy governors’ wives are members of the campaign team.
The media team is chaired by Modele Sarafa-Yusuf, while former Senator, Fatima Raji-Rasaki chairs the committee on logistics, and committee on finance and special duty is headed by Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, a former deputy governor in Lagos State, as well as Abike Dabiri, to handle reponsibility of Diaspora Committee, and Veteran actor, Joke Sylva, is to head the performing arts committee of the campaign.
Penpushing reports that, the statement added that, the administrative secretariat is headed by Wahab Alawiye-King, who is also the chairman of the committee on strategic planning, while all appointees have been directed to collect their letters of appointment at the Tinubu/Shettima Women Presidential Campaign Office located at number 2 Kainji Crescent, off Lake Chad Crescent, Maitama, Abuja.
