Segun Showunmi in Ibadan
The Oyo State Police Command on Monday said that it has arrested three suspects which include Abdulrazak Waliu, Abdulrazak Illias and AbulRazaq Hammed over alleged abduction and murdered of 8-year old minor, Bamimore Abdulraheem.
Penpushing reports that this was contained in statement by the Command Public Relations Officer,, Adewale Osifeso, which was made available to journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The police spokesman stated that the suspects, upon interrogation confessed to have conspired to kidnapped the victim for ransom, but eventually killed him because he recognized and could identified them.
“On 5th March, 2022, one Bamimore Abdulafeez reported that on 04/03/2022 when his twin children, Bamimore Abdulraheem and Bamimore Abdullahi returned from school”, the statement reads.
“One of them named Bamimore Abdulraheem went out of the house after been lured by the duo of Abdulrazak Waliu and Abdulrazak Illias to an undisclosed location, and all effort made to see the victim proved abortive”,.
“On 07/03/2022 a search party was organized and during the process, the lifeless body of the victim named Bamimore Abdulraheem aged 8yrs was found inside an uncompleted building at Alubarika area Saki. The third suspect, AbdulRazak Hammed involvement is still under investigation. However, the first two suspects confessed to the crime”.
Penpushing also reports that Osifeso however said that further updates on the incident would be provided in due course as investigation continues
