The Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday picked the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination forms to contest the 2027 presidential election.
Penpushing reports that a member of the Fedeal House of Representatives, representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Hon James Faleke, picked the forms on behalf of Tinubu at the national secretariat of All Progressives Congress (APC)
The National Organising Secretary, of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Suleiman Argungu, presented the documents to Faleke at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory
Penpushing further reports that in similar development, the governorship flagbearer of the party in Ogun State Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly called Yayi, has picked up the N50 million All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship nomination forms for the 2027 POLL.
The forms were obtained on his behalf, which was handed over to Adeola’s proxy by National Organising Secretary, of the party, Suleiman Argungu, on Tuesday in Abuja, signalling his entry into the race for the state’s top seat.
The lawmaker representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has picked up the N50 million All Progressives Congress governorship nomination forms for the 2027 Ogun State election.
Penpushing also reports that it would be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the Presidential and National Assembly elections for Saturday, January 16, 2027, while governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections will hold on Saturday, February 6, 2027.
The electoral body equally announced that party primaries, including the resolution of related disputes, will take place between April 23, 2026, and May 30, 2026, adding that campaigns for the Presidential and National Assembly elections will begin on August 19, 2026, while those for governorship and state assembly elections will commence on September 9, 2026.
