A Coca cola truck on Wednesday crushed three persons when it rammed into commercial motorcycle conveying two males and one female passengers at Total Garden, area in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital.
Penpushing reports that an eyewitness said the fully loaded truck rammed into the motocycle in front of Bovas Filling station when the rider was trying to overtake the truck, a development which led to protest from some youths in the area, who attempted to set the truck ablaze but the quick intervention of the police was said to have the situation.
The Oyo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso has confirmed the incident, describing it as unfortunate and preventable, adding that the fatal accident occurred as a result of collision between a Coca-Cola truck with registration number APP 696 XV and two motorcycles
Penpushing further reports that ,Osifeso, however, said the bodies of the victims have been deposited at the morgue, adding that update would be provided in due course
