Segun Showunmi in Ibadan
A popular On Air Personality with Naija F.M radio station, Titus Badejo has been allegedly shot dead on Saturday at a club around 9pm by unknown gunmen in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Penpushing reports that the deceased, otherwise known as Ejanla was allegedly attacked by four suspected assassins who arrived the club located in Oluyole area of the town on bike.
The broadcaster was shot dead exactly a week after he celebrated his birthday, and in reaction, the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Oyo State Council described his death has untimely.
Penpushing further reports that the Chairman of the council Ademola Babalola who expressed worry over rise in insecurity in the state, called on the government to do the needful by ensuring protection of lives and property of people in the state.
The Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ) chairman, however said that perpetrators of the dastard act should be arrested, prosecuted, and punished under the law.
