The former Governor of Ogun State Chief Olusegun Osoba has won his polling booth at Omololu polling unit located in Government Reservation Area(GRA) in Abeokuta South Local Government Area of the state for All Progressives Congress(APC)

Penpushing reports that it is recalled that the journalist turned politician recorded same feat at the recently concluded Presidential and National Assembly elections, inspite of his inability to vote due to malfunction electoral machines.

The Governorship  poll on Saturday showed that the All Progressives Congress(APC) recorded 89 votes at the polling booth which residents are majorly serving and retired civil servants.

Penpushing further reports that the results equally showed that the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) polled 43, while Action Democratic Congress(ADC) recorded 36 and Social Democratic Party(SDP) with one vote

The Assembly results showed All Progressives Congress(APC) leading with 86 votes followed by Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) with 46 votes, Action Democratic Congress(ADC) 26 and Labour Party(LP) 7 votes

Penpushing also reports that earlier speaking with Journalists after casting his vote  at Ita-Osanyin ward 3 unit 2 , in Ikenne Local Government Area at Governor Dapo Abiodun commended the people of the state for conducting themselves in an orderly manner.

The Governor who voted at 11: 09 am also  commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for ensuring that voting materials are made available at the appropriatetime, adding that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) worked perfectly

“I am the governor as well as a candidate and what I have simply done is to come here like everybody else, presented my PVC, accredited and I cast my vote.  From what I have seen here and hear from the 236 wards across the State, people have turned out enmass and are casting their votes. The whole process is going on relatively well”,Abiodun stated.

“I want to appreciate the INEC though this election was postponed by a week. I hope they have been able to resolve the issues surrounding the voting and also been able to reprogramme the BVAS so that the election can go on smoothly. With what I have seen so far, the election is peaceful and until we get through the vote, I cannot really comment what would happen at the end”.

Penpushing reports that Abiodun urged those entertaining fear of possible harassment to be rest assured of their safety and come  out and exercise their franchise as it is their civic responsibility
