The two notable chieftains of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-West of Nigeria, Chiefs Olusegun Osoba and Bisi Akande are to meet all the Presidential aspirants from the zone before the end of the week.

Penpushing reports that, investigation conducted showed that, the meeting is scheduled to hold in Lagos, while information to all concern aspirants, as at the time of filing this report had already being passed to them

The expected aspirants under the platform of the party in the South-West at the scheduled meeting include; Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Dr Kayode Fayemi and Senator Ibikunle Amosun

Penpushing reports that, all the aspirants have already declared their interest in various methods which include through press statement, press conference, letter of interest tendered at the national assembly and public declaration

The aspirants have equally commenced consultations around the country, with many of them, making visits to traditional rulers as relevant steps to take, as well as to other notable stakeholders, even before the primaries of the party


Penpushing further reports that, some of the aspirants have equally, as at the time of this report purchased their nomination forms sold to them by the All Progressives Congress(APC) in the sum of N100million

The investigation also conducted by Penpushing media showed that, the party leaders in the zone are concerned about large number of the aspirants from the South-West and from same party, which was considered might affect and jeopardize the chances of the aspirant who eventually emerged as party flagbearer for the 2023 presidential election

Penpushing reports that, the meeting may equally look at possibility of pruning the number of the aspirants, in the interest of the zone to remain relevant at the end of the forthcoming general election
