The Remo Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (RECCIMA) has installed Omo’ba Musibau Abiola Ogundeko as its 11th President of the chamber held at the Conference Hall, Owolowo Cooperative House, Oba-Erinwole II Government Reservation Area (GRA), Sagamu, Ogun State.

Penpushing reports that the investiture lecture titled “Local Strength to Global Relevance: Driving Trade, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Remoland” was delivered by Dr. Sikirat Ibrahim.

The guest lecturer at the colourful ceremony was represented Prof. Kolawole Adebayo, former Deputy Vice Chancellor (Development) of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).

Penpushing further reports that Ibrahim in the lecture stressed the need to harness Remo’s agricultural advantage, including fertile land, resources, capital, and infrastructure, while addressing critical gaps such as renovation facilities, storage, value-chain development, and innovative investment.

“The economic investments in Remoland are based on rich agricultural land, growing infrastructure, and innovative talent, providing a strong foundation for global economic relevance. To use all these to their advantage, they need to be intentional and strategically position Remo,” she said.

Penpushing also reports that Chairman of the occasion, Asiwaju Onafowokan urged leaders to embrace participatory governance, stressing that leadership must be rooted in consultation, commitment, and determination.

The Chairman emphasized that leadership is about followership, hence, importance need for leaders to learn how to consult their followers in order to lead well.

Penpushing reports that National President of Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA) Engr. Jani Ibrahim, in his address emphasized the role of youth in economic development.

The President announced the forthcoming launch of “NACCIMA GLOBAL”, an initiative designed to connect Nigerians in the diaspora and create a pipeline for pushing local products into global markets, noting that one critical leadership trait often overlooked is energy.

Penpushing further reports that he commended Ogundeko as a young and vibrant leader, adding, stressing that energy is needed to propel and that was the association was happy to have a young energetic man who can help move the body forward.

The President highlighted Nigeria’s demographic challenge, stating that the nation produces about five million people annually, pointing out that without adequate opportunities, this could result in unintended consequences.

Penpushing also reports that he called on chambers of commerce to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), while urging youths to deploy their time, talent, and treasure in driving economic growth.

The outgoing President, Elder Olatunji Adeniyi, in his farewell speech, encouraged youths to embrace empowerment programmes, manage their time wisely, and participate actively in initiatives that promote business development.

Penpushing reports that he pointed out that the highlight of the ceremony was the induction of the new executive council and the formal investiture of Omo’ba Musibau Abiola Ogundeko as Remo Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (RECCIMA) 11th President.

The newly installed President of the chamber in his inaugural speech,expressed gratitude to members and guests, commended his predecessor for exemplary leadership, and pledged to consolidate on the achievements of past administrations.

Penpushing further reports that dignitaries present included Asiwaju Solomon Kayode Onafowokan (Asiwaju of Remo), Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi (CFR), the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland (represented by Engr. Wole Ogunsanya), Engr. Jani Ibrahim, National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).

The others are Elder Olatunji Adeniyi, outgoing President of Remo Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (RECCIMA) , Hon. Ola Oresanya (Ogun State Commissioner for Environment), Lion Niyi Oshiyemi, President of Ogun State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA), and Olumide Araoyinbo, President of Osun State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OSCCIMA).
