The Ogun State Government has commended management of Treal Hotel and Suites for establishing the multimillion-naira edifice in Abeokuta, the state capital to add value to hospitality and tourism businesses in the state and environs.

Penpushing reports that Governor Dapo Abiodun gave the commendation on Thursday at the official opening and commissioning of the hotels located at Block XIV, Plot 4, 11 Sobo Sowemimo Crescent in the heart of Government Reservation Area (GRA), Ibara, Abeokuta

The Governor represented by Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi said the state government would continue to encourage private investments capable of driving economic growth and addressing accommodation challenges in the state, affirming that Abeokuta had witnessed rapid transformation in recent years with increasing demand for quality hospitality services due to conferences, tourism and business activities.

Penpushing further reports that he emphasized that the government is convinced that the management of the hotels led by the founder Adebayo Fagbenro, believe in the vision of Ogun State and investing in the hospitality sector.

“We have had serious accommodation challenges in Abeokuta because of the influx of visitors and conferences. The business climate in Ogun State has taken a dramatic turn for good and there is a huge demand for quality accommodation,” he said.

Penpushing also report that the governor pointed out that the development of Treal Hotel and Suites further reflects the ongoing rejuvenation of the Government Reservation Area (GRA) Ibara area, which he described as the “Ikoyi of Ogun State, recalling initial skepticism surrounding the approval of mixed developments within the axis but noted that the success of the project had justified the state government’s progressive approach towards urban development.

The Governor assured the management of the hotel that the state government would continue to support investors willing to contribute to the economic growth of Ogun State, adding that the hotel would also serve as one of the preferred hospitality facilities for government guests and conferences.

Penpushing reports that the General Manager of Treal Hotel and Suites, Mr. Nuhu Onoja, in his welcome speech appreciated guests, investors and stakeholders for their support and confidence in the brand, describing the occasion as a dream fulfilled, stressing that, the establishment was built on a commitment to excellence, comfort and exceptional hospitality service.

“Your presence and confidence in our brand mean a great deal to us and we sincerely look forward to welcoming and hosting you at Treal Hotels and Suites when we open our doors fully,” he said.

Penpushing further reports that Onoja commended the Chairman of the hotel, Mr. Adebayo Fagbenro, Vice Chair Mrs. Adejoke Fagbenro, members of the Board of Directors and the management team for their unwavering support and dedication towards the successful completion of the project, and equally praised members of staff for their professionalism and commitment, stressing that the hotel would remain committed to creating lasting experiences for guests.

“At Treal Hotel and Suites, we are committed to creating lasting experiences and ensuring every guest feels valued because we are truly a home away from home,” he added.

Penpushing also reports that Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, in his remarks commended the owners of the hotel for investing in Ogun State and contributing to the transformation of Abeokuta into a modern and industrialized city, noting that the standard introduced by the hotel was commendable and praised the planners, engineers and developers for ensuring quality construction and safety standards.

“This is not an ordinary environment. The standard that has been set by this hotel today goes very far. I commend the owners and everyone who contributed in bringing this vision to reality,” the monarch stated.

Penpushing reports that the first-class traditional ruler expressed optimism that the hotel would continue to expand and become one of the leading hospitality brands in Nigeria.

The  Founder and Chairman of Treal Hotel and Suites, Mr. Adebayo Fagbenro, in his speech described the project as the fulfillment of a long-held vision driven by passion, dedication and hard work, explaining that the vision behind the establishment was not merely to build a hotel but to create a sanctuary where elegance meets comfort and hospitality meets excellence.

“Today marks the fulfillment of a vision, a dream built over years of passion, dedication and hard work. We dreamt of creating not just a hotel but a sanctuary where every guest feels truly valued,” Fagbenro said.

Penpushing further reports that he explained that the hotel was intentionally designed to reflect the rich cultural heritage of Ogun State while providing guests with a luxury experience comparable to international standards

“Our vision is to become a preferred luxury boutique hotel in Nigeria. We have been intentional in the design of our facilities and thoughtful in every service we provide,” he stated.

Penpushing also reports that Fagbenro, who disclosed that he operates successful businesses in the United Kingdom, said the decision to establish the hotel in Abeokuta was borne out of a desire to contribute meaningfully to his homeland and bring global hospitality standards back to Nigeria.

The Chaiman revealed that the hotel offers several unique features including wellness-focused services, health-conscious meals, massage sofas, exercise equipment in selected suites, a state-of-the-art gymnasium, a covered swimming pool and premium accommodation facilities.

“We are bringing health and wellness into hospitality. We are intentional not only about our facilities but also about the meals and services we provide to guests,” he said.

Penpushing reports that Adebayo appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun for approving the project despite initial challenges associated with obtaining approval for commercial development within the residential area, adding that Treal Hotel and Suites became one of the first approved mixed developments within the Ibara axis, describing the approval as a significant step towards the modernization of the area.

The founder of the magnificent hotels equally appreciated family members, consultants, architects, legal advisers and staff members for their contributions towards the successful completion of the project.

Penpushing further reports that, Senior Pastor and Founder of Kingsway International Christian Centre, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo in his goodwill message, described the hotel project as a symbol of patriotism, resilience and national development, and praised Fagbenro for returning to Nigeria to invest despite having achieved success abroad, noting that the project demonstrated the positive impact Nigerians in the diaspora could make in national development.

“This magnificent structure is more than bricks, steel and luxury. It is a monument to resilience and proof that Nigerians in the diaspora can return home not only with success stories but with investments, opportunities and transformation,” he said.

Penpushing also reports that Ashimolowo described the hotel owner as a man defined by duty, devotion, diligence, distinction and determination, adding that the project would create jobs, boost tourism and inspire younger generations.

The clergyman listed several benefits of diaspora investments including capital inflow, technology transfer, job creation, mentorship opportunities, innovation and international networking, stressing that the project sends a positive message that Nigeria remains a country worth investing in.

“The hotel represents something larger than hospitality. It represents possibility, hope and inspiration for young Nigerians,” Ashimolowo declared.

Penpushing reports that the guests were later conducted round the edifice with luxury design, ambience and modern facilities provided within the hotel, while number of them described Treal Hotels and Suites as a major addition to Ogun State’s growing hospitality and tourism sector, expressing confidence that the establishment would position Abeokuta as a preferred destination for luxury hospitality and international-standard accommodation.
