Ibadan Mogajis resolve 8-year old crisis

The lingering crisis within  family heads (Mogajis) in Ibadanland has come to an end as all of them now  agreed  and ready to work together in unity for the progress of the ancient town.

Penpushing reports that,Abass Oloko, made this known on behalf of all Mogajis at the Ibadan Compound Sports Competition/Fiesta meeting held at Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Ibadan,Oyo State Capital

Recall that there has been issues among the family heads in Ibadanland which breaks them into two groups namely ‘the authentic Mogaji’s and ‘the recognized Mogaji’s’.

The Mogaji pointed out that some bad elements within the state caused chaos among the family heads which led to their division, saying that peace will soon return and  that they are ready to work in unity for the progress of the land, just as hecalled on other Mogajis to go back to their respective families and do the needful.

Penpushing further reports that, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji has described the step taking by the Mogajis as a welcome development towards the betterment of Ibadanland, adding that any society that works against itself can never move higher.

The monarch said it is important for leaders at the grassroot to unite, eschew bitterness and rivalry if truly they want progress for Ibadan, adding that its a welcome development that the family heads have resolved and decided to work together as one..

Penpushing also reports that the Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Hotel and Sport Resort, Ibadan, Engr. Dotun Sanusi in his remarks said that all the two parties within the Mogajis before has promised to unite and work for the progress of the town.

“Each of the Mogajis has been directed by to go back to their respective families and solved their problems, family heads will be holds responsible for any atrocities committed in their families, with all efforts put in place, Ibadan will become the most peaceful city in Nigeria”,he said
