The Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) has concluded plans for its 5th annual conference to hold on October 7, 2021, at the Sheraton Hotel, Lagos State,with the theme.’ COVID-19 Pandemic: Recovery and Reconstruction in Nigeria.”
Penpushing reports that, a statement by the Publicity Secretary of the body, Olumide Iyanda, said Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, will serve as chairman and keynote speaker, respectively.
The statement added that, Mustapha will speak on the conference theme, while panelists include: Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi, and Dr. Yahaya Disu Director, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
Penpushing further reports that, Iyanda disclosed that the conference will start 10am, adding that Governor Sanwo-Olu, the Chief Incident Commander for the prevention and control of coronavirus in Lagos, will preside over the conference.
The statement stated that, the choice of topic for the conference is informed by contemporary political, economic, security, socio-cultural challenges facing Nigeria occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic.
