The authorities of D.S. Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic located in Ewekoro, Ewekoro local government area of Ogun State have tackled National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) on allegations of fraud by the management.
Penpushing reports that the management of the institution reacting to the allegation of fraud in the disbursement of funds under the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) dismissed the claims as false and unfounded.
The management in the statement emphasized that to demonstrate its commitment to transparency, invited the leadership of the students’ body and other relevant stakeholders to conduct a comprehensive fact-finding exercise, including a forensic audit of all Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND)-related records and transactions.
Penpushing further reports that the institution said it was shocked by a viral video and statement allegedly made by the President of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Babatunde Akinteye linking the Polytechnic to Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) fraud.
The management declared that the allegations are entirely false, misleading, and without any factual basis, maintaining that it had built a longstanding reputation for integrity, transparency, accountability and academic excellence
Penpushing also reports that the statement emphasized that the institution would never engage in activities capable of undermining the Nigerian Government’s educational intervention programmes
The management, stressed that the polytechnic remains fully committed to supporting Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) and other educational initiatives of the Nigerian Government.

Penpushing reports that the management expressed support for the administration of President Tinubu and the Ogun State Government under Governor Dapo Abiodun, particularly in advancing educational reforms and student welfare programmes.
‘To demonstrate its commitment to transparency, the institution invited the leadership of NANS and other relevant stakeholders to conduct a comprehensive fact-finding exercise, including a forensic audit of all NELFUND-related records and transactions’, the institution emphasised.
