The Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District of Kaduna State in the National Assembly, Senator Lawal Adamu Usman, has dismissed the rumour that he has officially defected to the new coalition under the banner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Penpushing reports that Usman debunked the speculations in a statement, describing it as mischievous, unfounded and a baseless fabrication oozing from the cesspit of the infantile imagination of those spreading it and their sponsors.

The federal lawmaker said the masterminds of the rumour are detractors, not interested in any meaningful contribution to the development and progress of Kaduna Central Senatorial District.

Penpushing further reports that Usman popularly called Senator LA pointed out that spreading such a cheap and politically motivated rumour about their political opponents is ingrained in their character.

“This rumour of my defection from the PDP to the ADC is designed by my detractors to distract me and derail my various lofty programmes through which I have been delivering the real dividends of democracy to the good people of Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the past two years’, he stated

Penpushing also reports that he declared that the masterminds of the fake news have failed as he had seen through their shenanigans, adding that their lies won’t stand, while their plot to create unnecessary political tension between him and people of Kaduna Central Senatorial District has, indeed, woefully failed.

The senator affirmed his loyalty to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); however, it is recalled that there had been widespread rumour in some quarters in Kaduna that Usman had defected to the new African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition.

Penpushing reports that two other colleagues of Usman, representing Kaduna North and Kaduna South in the National Assembly were also being rumoured to be preparing to make their intentions known shortly.
