Forty- Eight hours after payment of N100 million and collection of nomination and interest forms to contest presidential ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Rt Hon Dimeji Bankole has kept official date of his declaration and other political move to his chest.
Penpushing reports that, the former Speaker House of Representatives, when contacted to know his next line of action and proposed date of his public declaration on acquisition of the forms, declined to comment nor forward a statement in response to message of inquiry sent to him.
The former Governor of Zamfara State Mahmud Shinkafi, it is recalled had on Friday accompanied by some chieftains of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) picked the nomination forms on behalf of Bankole at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja,the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
Penpushing further reports that, Bankole led the House of Representatives under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in past political dispensation and later joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) after completing his tenure.
The former Speaker, it is also recalled that on collection of the forms, was also silence on source of payment, as it is now common knowledge that forms were being purchased for number of aspirants by groups or their loyalists and friends.
