A philanthropist, Chief Toyin Amuzu has tasked Nigerian government on need to support sports development, which he said would take away youths from the streets and crimes which is almost becoming order of the day in the country.
Penpushing reports that, Amuzu who is an Egba Chief in Ogun State made the call during an interview with journalists at the finals of the Egba Youth Soccer Championship held at Muda Lawal Stadium, Abeokuta.
The Abeokuta born philanthropist commended the organizers of the tournament, adding that it is a good development, which will transform lives of the youths for better, stressing that on his own part, he would continue to empower the youths.
Penpushing further reports that, Amuzu, who runs a Non-Government Organisation was of the conviction that, sports will checkmate crimes such as cultism, yahoo yahoo, rape, kidnapping, money rituals and armed robbery among others
‘Youths are the future of tomorrow, we need to encourage them and make them useful in the society and the state. If government choose to help and support the program, the people of the state will not forget about it and this will be in the history of state and there will be peace, unity and harmony between them. It is a great idea to support the youth in the state because they are the future leaders”
Penpushing also reports that Amuzu urged the youth to continue with the good habits and they should be focus and be determined stressing that it should be known to them that their future is their hands.
