The General Overseer Victory Life Bible Church (VLBC), Apostle Lawrence Achudume, has advised journalists to be cautious of relying on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in performing their duties.

The known frankly speaking Achudume pointed out that usage of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming a threat for journalism profession, emphasizing that it is causing more harm to the noble profession and humanity.

Penpushing further reports that he stated that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is seriously affecting the objective reporting that is expected from the media world, as he frowned at the influx of non-professionals using advantage of Artificial Intelligence (AI), turning themselves to emergence journalists

The clergyman stated that it is worrisome that many journalists now use Artificial Intelligence (AI) for their write ups, which is doing more damage to humanity than the positive objective reporting.

“Today, almost everybody is now a journalist in Nigeria, AI will do more damage to humanity than the positive objective reporting. A man is formed by what he is acquainted with, that is why journalists are more powerful, but the use of AI is currently working to put an end to the race today’. What a man becomes is formed by what he hears constantly and sees constantly, that is why journalists are very powerful, but AI has come to compete with you’ he said.
