The General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church(VLBC),Apostle Lawrence Achudume on Friday led hundreds of the church members on a street walk to celebrate Nigeria’s 61 Independence Anniversary, appealing to Nigerians to elect wise leaders in the next political dispensation.
Penpushing reports that, the cleric accompanied by his wife, Folake Achudume while addressing journalists at the end of the walk, expressed optimism that Nigeria will regain its lost glory in due course if intelligent people are elected into offices
‘Come next election, let us stop electing fools into power .We should elect wise men, intelligent people who are not stealing for the future. People who are here to develop today so that the future can be better’, Achudume said.
‘People that have passion for good governance; people that have passion for the coming generations. Not for their belly. The way for the future is that Nigeria natural resources should be developed by our leaders’, he added.
‘The atmosphere for entrepreneurship should be made conducive for entrepreneurs to rise. Nigerians are very intelligent all over the world. We can duplicate that here .Our nurses are going, our doctors are going, engineers are going .we want that replicated here’.
Penpushing further reports that, Achudume said the walk was organized by the church to declare that the siege in the country is over, and that Nigeria is a blessed country and not cursed, stressing that the wishes of God for the country will come to pass.
.‘We are on the street to declare that the siege is over for Nigeria. We are on the street to declare peace. To declare that we are not dogs that eats pigs. We are human being that have compassion for themselves’, Achudume explained.
‘We are here to declare that Nigeria will be great again. We are here to declare that peace will reign in Nigeria. We are here to declare that Nigeria is a blessed country and not cursed. We are here to declare that the expectations and the wishes of God for our nation will come to pass.
