The traditional ruler of Iseyin town of Oyo State Oba Adekunle Salawudeen, has passed away on Sunday, while as at the time of filing this report, details surrounding the pass away of the monarch was yet unknown
Penpushing reports that, the passing away of the Aseyin of Iseyin was confirmed by family sources , which explained that, he had been sick for a while, and is the fourth such occurrence among senior traditional rulers in Oyo State within eight months.
The traditional rulers who had earlier joined their ancestors within the period in the state include; Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Ajagungbade Oyewumi died in December 2021, followed by the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, and the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, who, respectively, joined their ancestors, in January and April 2022 respectively
Penpushing further reports that, Iseyin is an ancient Yoruba town located in northern Oyo State, which is about 91 km to Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, while as at the time of filing this report, the state government was yet to make official statement on the development
