A 19 year old girl, Fatima Yusuf has raised alarm and disclosed how her biological father disvirgined her and equally turned her to sex machine from age 13, with a call on government to come to her aid to get a relief from slavery
Penpushing reports that, the girl who spoke through a viral video on social media, recounting her ordeals explained that her father took her virginity on the kitchen floor at the dead of the night, while was still 13 years old.
“I remember my father coming to wake me up in the dead of the night and led me to the kitchen which was downstairs. He threatened me with a cutlass and kept slapping me and said if I do not cooperate, he was going to kill me. He had a knife also in his hands. He finally deflowered me at 13.”
Penpushing further reports that, she said her father always monitored her menstrual cycle, to avoid impregnating her, and also expressed dismay that each time she wanted to bring up the sexual abuse on her to her mother, she(mother) shut her up.
“My mother never gave me the chance to speak to her. Once I tried to express it, she would shut me off. But I have asked her a number of times if truly the man I call my father is indeed my biological father. My younger sister even told my mother recently that daddy was touching her breast, but mother simply shunned us and asked us to leave.”
Penpushing reports that, the innocent victim said her sister also reported a similar incidence to their mother lately, adding that her elder sister had long left home and would never visit whenever she is in Owo.
The girl explained that her reason of coming out to speak was divine intervention, because her sex-maniac father had earlier promised to stop engaging her in sex in 2018 when she threatened to expose him, but said she was amazed that he still continued in 2019, hence, her resolve to expose him
“He initially told me I would be free in 2018, then again in 2019 but when he came again in 2020; I told him if he doesn’t free me, I would free myself”, she said.
The aunt of the victim, Mrs.Mary Diamond, while reacting to the incident, was quoted to have said that the girl was missing for some days, until suddenly when she showed up at her house to narrate her plights.
Penpushing further reports that, the aunt said it was in the course of interrogation that the lady confessed that she left home because her father was repeatedly raping her, adding that when the father was confronted with the allegation, he confessed to the crime.
The wife of Ondo State Governor, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu who also watched and listened to the girl’s ordeal through the video has shown interest to address the plight of the girl, and for justice to prevail.
Penpushing reports that, as at the time of filing this report the Governor’s wife was said to have sent a team from her office to interact with the girl, her relatives and the police, expressing concern, that perpetrators of such acts of SGBV should not be tolerated in any sane society.
The first lady pointed out that securing justice for victim would send a strong message to other perpetrators of such devious acts, saying the full weight of the law would be served on anyone found guilty of such bestial practice.
Penpushing further reports that, Chairperson of FIDA in the state, Barrister Bola Joel in her reaction said the association in collaboration with the office of Governor’s wife, has been on the case since when the news broke.
The chairperson said the matter is being closely monitored, and expressed appreciation to the wife of the Governor for her prompt intervention, saying her weight will ensure that the matter is pursed to the full course of law and the perpetrator put behind bars.
Penpushing also reports that, the Ondo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Tee Leo Ikoro, said the case is under investigation, adding that the suspect has been arrested assuring that, the while the case will not be swept under the carpet.
