A Women’s group known as ‘The S.M.A.R.T Women 4 PYO’, has joined other groups of well meaning Nigerians to call on Prof Yemi Osinbajo to declare his presidential ambition in 2023.
Penpushing reports that, the call is coming ahead of Saturday’s National Convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), scheduled to hold in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory(FCT)
The group, made up of women from all walks of life, on Thursday converged on the Unity Fountain in Abuja, Nigeria’s Capital insisting that the Vice President must throw his hat in the ring.
Penpushing further reports that, S.M.A.R.T Women 4 PYO, in collaboration with other female groups in their hundreds stormed the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in what was tagged a One-Million-Man March for Osinbajo.
The groups’ co-conveners, SMART Folake Aina and SMART Bunmi Oke while speaking with journalists said Osinbajo is a symbol of the acronym that makes up the name of the group.
“Osinbajo is Sensitive, Matured, Articulate, Reliable and a Team Builder and Player”, noting that the candidacy of the VP, if supported by the ruling party, will not only ensure a massive win for the APC in the 2023, going by the growing number of groups and individuals calling for Osinbajo’s candidacy, it will also ensure a continuity of the party’s policies’, Oke said.
