A middle-aged woman, identified as Oluwasola Adebayo, has slumped and died while accompanying her child to a Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) centre in Ilara-Mokin, Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Penpushing reports that sources said the incident occurred on Tuesday which threw the community into confusion adding that she began to feel weak shortly after arriving near the examination venue before collapsing.
The sources added that she was confirmed dead on the spot despite attempts to revive her, adding that as at the time of the incident, the woman’s child was said to be inside the examination hall writing the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)reportedly unaware of the tragedy unfolding outside.
Penpushing further reports that the cause of death as at the time of this report was unknown while the residents described the scene as distressing, with passersby gathering in shock as news of her sudden death spread through the area.
The Ondo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Abayomi Jimoh, confirmed the incident, stressing that the authorities were notified of the sudden death in the community.
