The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has declared that any aggrieved members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) who dare to challenge outcome of results of the local government primaries in court would be shown out the way from the party in the state

Penpushing reports that, Abiodun made the declaration during a campaign tour in Ikenne local government area of the state, ahead of the July 24 council elections, adding that dragging the party to court, is an act of anti-party activities

The Governor emphasised that, anti-party activity will only drawback the progress of the party, warning that such would not be accepted, and therefore advised those having such thought or plan to retrace their step in their own interest

“Dragging the party to court is an anti-party activity that would not be tolerated. Anybody who has a case in court should, as a matter of urgency, withdraw same or risk being sent out of the APC”, he declared.

“More than one person vied for the chairmanship position in Ikenne Local Government, but we know only one of them will emerge as the candidate. It is only God that enthrones a king, I am a testimony to that,” he said.

“We also have many councillorship aspirants. But, I learnt that some people went to court in my own local government. I am not happy with that development. I’m not happy. Anybody who goes to court should go and withdraw the case immediately. It is anti-party. Anybody who goes to court will be sent out of the party. There must be discipline in this party.”

Penpushing further reports that, the Governor assured that as a relief for those who lost in the party primaries, there is arrangement to adequately compensate them by his administration at the appropriate time

“All those who were not picked as candidates, I am assuring you that the serious ones among them will be given appointments by me, your governor; if not at the local government, I will give them appointments in Abeokuta. After that promise, I don’t want to hear any crisis in this local government again.”

Penpushing also reports that, it is recalled that,Muyiwa Osularu, a councillorship aspirant in Iperu Ward 5, Ikenne local government, has approached Sagamu High Court, arguing that  he won the  primary election, alleging that his name was suddenly replaced with the Caretaker Committee Vice Chairman of the local government.
