The meeting came less than a week after the opposition party appointed some members of the group into Atiku’s presidential campaign committee, which include Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, who was named as the Vice Chairman (South) of the same committee.

Penpushing further reports that, Governor Wike, the group leader, was named a member of the committee, while record has it that the chieftains of the party who attended the meeting include: Governor Seyi Makinde, former Governors of Ondo State Olusegun Mimiko, former Governor  Ayo Fayose of Ekiti, former Governor Donald Duke of Cross River, Ibrahim Dakwambo of Gombe, and Jonah Jang of Plateau, and a former Attorney General of the Federation, Justice Mohammed Adoke.

The attendees also include former Information Minister, Jerry Gana, South-south Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dan Orbih, a former Deputy Speaker of the House Representative, Chibudom Nwuche among others.
