See yourself still relevant in security of nation, Director General tells retired security operatives

The Director General Department of Security Service(DSS), Alhaji Yusuf Mogaji Bichi has called on retired officers of the Department to  see themselves as still relevant in the provision of security services to the country, even after leaving office.

Penpushing reports that, Bichi gave the charge to the retirees on Wednesday at the maiden edition of 2021 end of the year party and annual lecture of the Association of Retired Officers of Department of State Servuces of Nigeria(ARODSSON), Ogun State Chapter held in Abeokuta.

The Department boss who was represented by Muhammed Ali at the ceremony , emphaised that, the retirement of the officers, should not signify that, they are tired, stressing that they still have enough qualities of experiences to offer .

Penpushing further reports that, he emphasized that, the Department of Security Services(DSS), still recognizes them , as part and parcel of the operations, hence, the need to make themselves available , stressing that the offices are open for them as stakeholders.

‘As retirees, you are not tired, you should still see yourself as relevant, you are still recognized as member of SSS. The offices  are open for you, you may be retired, but see yourself as not tired’, the Director General emphasized.

Penpushing also reports that, a renowned legal practitioner, Barrister Habeeb Ajayi was the guest lecturer at the event, held at hall of Daktard Hotels, located in Quarry road in Abeokuta, the state capital.

The guest lecturer spoke on the topic,’Human Rights and Insecurity-Perspectives of a Developing Nation: Nigeria as a Case Study’, while in attendance include the retirees in their hundreds, as well as dignitaries, among them Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole,  Commander Soji Ganzallo of the So-Safe-Corps, Commander David Akinremi of Amotekun corps and Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji(Founder Penpushing Media)

Penpushing reports that, other programme of the events was the award ceremony which include” Outstanding award, Recognition award, Appreciation award and Leadership award bestowed on some personalities
