The National Vice-Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)(South South), Dan Orbih, has been reported dead, however, the nature and cause of death remain unknown as at the time of filing this report
Penpushing repots that the family confirmed the demise of Orbih in a statement issued by Francis Orbih on Tuesday, describing the deceased as a beloved brother, husband, father, and uncle.
The statement stated that the family received the death with profound sadness and a heavy heart, adding that he is survived by his wife, Florence, and his children, Winifred and Mildred, as well as brothers, sisters, and other members of the extended family.
Penpushing further reports that the statement said the family at this difficult time asked friends, and well-wishers to remember them in their prayers as they mourn the painful loss
The family said details concerning the burial and other arrangements of the late politician, a former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairman in Edo State before serving as the National Vice Chairman, South-South would be announced in due course.
Penpushing also reports that former Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, in a condolence message described Orbih’s death as a significant loss to the state and Nigeria, stressing that the deceased long years of engagement in public affairs earned him a place in the political history of the state.
Meanwhile, the former governor extended his condolences to the deceased’s wife, children, family members, political associates, and colleagues.
