A prominent member of Penpushing platform Dr Tunde Lemo has been inaugurated as Chairman Board of Trustees (BOT) Association of Corporate Affairs Managers of Banks (ACAMB) alongside seven other members.

Penpushing reports that the inauguration was held at the gala night of Association of Corporate Affairs Managers of Banks (ACAMB) on Saturday, aas part of activities for a 4-day national retreat with the theme, ’Bank Recapitalisation and Beyond: Amplifying Brand Resilience and Stakeholders Financial Inclusivity’, held in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.

The other members also inaugurated at the event include; Epa Ogie Eboigbe, Lanre Alabi, Eddy Ademosu, Hajiya Lantana Ahmed, Folake Ani-Mumuney, Uchechi Ali-Balogun and Fadekemi Ajakaiye.

Penpushing further reports the members who read oath of acceptance were equally presented with plagues of honour to celebrate them having being found forthright as professionals in the banking industry.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees in acceptance speech on behalf of other members pointed out that they have made their marks in the banking industry, stressing that choice by the association is the best

Penpushing also reports that Leme assured the association that the members of board of trustees will serve diligently, and support activities of the body adding that Association of Corporate Affairs Managers of Banks (ACAMB) is reputable.

The former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) expressed optimism that Association of Corporate Affairs Managers of Banks (ACAMB) will take economy to the next level, adding that the restructuring of the association is added value to banking operations

Penpushing reports that President of the association Rasheed Bolarinwa earlier in his welcome address said the trip was more than a professional convergence but it was a renaissance.

“After over fifteen years of hiatus, this flagship event of our association’s calendar has returned in full glory — reigniting our shared sense of purpose, learning, and unity as communicators and storytellers of the Nigerian banking industry. Over seventy of us have since embarked on an enriching journey of learning and connection — exploring the best of Abeokuta’s culture and history”, Bolarinwa said.
“Plenary and masterclass sessions offered rare insight and foresight. We were privileged to listen to the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Managing Director of First Bank, and the distinguished Prof. Tayo Otubanjo of the Lagos Business School, one of Africa’s most respected scholars of Marketing and Brand Strategy’,he added.
“Their submissions on recapitalisation, brand resilience, and stakeholder inclusivity have since reverberated nationally — making front-page headlines. Our robust engagement with members of FICAN, CAMCAN, and GOCOP further amplified ACAMB’s voice as the credible and authoritative platform for industry thought-leadership, bridging the banking sector and the public with clarity, transparency, and trust”, Bolarinwa stressed.
“First, we commemorate the review and ratification of the ACAMB Constitution — the first comprehensive update since our founding in 1996. This reform represents institutional maturity and the forward-looking vision of an Association ready to meet the demands of the modern communications landscape’.
“Second, we proudly inaugurate the second Board of Trustees in the history of ACAMB, to be chaired by one of Nigeria’s most distinguished bankers, an icon of integrity, and a man of faith — Rev. (Dr.) Tunde Lemo, OFR, former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria”.
“And, in this same breath of transformation, we unveil our new identity:the Association of Corporate Communication and Marketing Professionals in Banks, while proudly retaining our timeless acronym — ACAMB — a name that resonates with decades of credibility, consistency, and brand equity across Nigeria’s banking landscape”.
