A member Editorial Board of Penpushing Media, Chief Femi Shodunke and another prominent member of the platform Adeyinka Moyosore Kotoye, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) are to receive honorary Doctorate degrees.
Penpushing reports that the duo will alongside sixteen others be conferred with the titles during a two-day conference, from Friday 15th to Saturday 16th August 2025, holding in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.
The ceremony is jointly organised by South Africa-based Immanuel Theology Institute International and Nigeria’s Priesthood Leadership Development Initiative Inc (PLDI), and will take place at Continental Suites, Presidential Boulevard, Abeokuta

Penpushing further reports that, the International Coordinator of Priesthood Leadership Development Initiative Inc., Prof. Olusesi Obateye, in a statement said former President Olusegun Obasanjo is expected to deliver the keynote address at the ceremony which is 2025 edition of the Leadership Empowerment International Conference (LEIC).
The statement added that other honorary include two traditional rulers, Oba Fatai Akamo,(Olu of Itori), Oba Lawrence Adisa Odeyinka,(Olu of Siun) as well as Ogun State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Remilekun Ekundayo, Mr. Musa Sani Anwalu,( United States of America-based businessman), Surveyor (Mrs). Rántí Lemboye, Hon. Oladipo Akingbade

Penpushing also reports that other awardees include Apostle Wale Fatolu, Chief Oluwakemi Odubote, Apostle Matthew Omooninkan, Mrs. Felicia Okanlawon, Mr. Adekunle Shoneye, Mrs. Mary Adenekan, Mrs. Ruth Oladipupo, Rev. Tunji Akintayo, Pastor Balogun Timothy, and Apostle John Ayilara.
The statement explained that the honourees will receive honorary Doctor of Leadership (D. L) and Doctor of Theology (D.Th) degrees in recognition of their selfless service and far-reaching contributions to their communities and fields of influence.
Penpushing reports that Obateye in the statement explained that the theme of this year’s conference is ‘Leadership and Followership: The Bonding Factor and the Consequences of Insincerity’.

The coordinator added that the conference would serve as a platform to not only celebrate exemplary individuals but also encourage a shift toward more sincere and effective leadership across board.
