The Osi of Egbaland Chief Olabode Mustapha has encouraged students of masscommunication to pursue quality and qualitative journalism in the course of their career in the noble profession, adding that that is the best way for them to be relevant in the profession.
Penpushing reports that Mustapha gave the charge on Wednesday while addressing the students who are on industrial work experience scheme with Penpushing Media, at the organisation’s corporate headquarters in Leme axis of Abiola way, Abeokuta.
The Egba High Chief said the students should count themselves lucky to be trainees under tutelage of the management of the renowned Penpushing Media, which parades experienced media gurus as its editorial board members.
‘You should see yourselves as being at the right place, and take the advantage of your choice to have your training with penpushing media to better your journalism career. Avoid clamour for brown envelope, and do away with falsehood when reporting’, he told the trainees
Penpushing further reports that Mustapha emphasized the importance of journalists in the society, and that the trainees should take the advantage of their work experience to better the society when turned out qualified media practitioners.
The Osi Egba expressed satisfaction on the mode of operations of Penpushing Media, adding that as a result of its quality in dissemination authentic news across the globe, the media outlet has become a reference point in the journalism world.
Penpushing also reports that earlier in his speech, founder of the Penpushing Media, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji disclosed that the organization has successfully trained seventy interns in the last five years, adding that the products are now doing well as practicing journalists.
The veteran journalist explained that part of innovation injected to the media outlet operations include effective corporate social responsibility, adding that Penpushing Media does not stop at just reportage, but move further to address welfare of the needy
