The Chairman Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) Statutory Audit Committee, Engr. Olumayowa Idowu has been conferred with Presidential Award of Excellence by the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), at a ceremony held at Africa Hall of International Conference Centre in Abuja.
Penpushing report that, the award was presented during the 2022 Annual Conference of Nigerian Society of Engineers which was organized in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy with the theme Advancing the Frontiers of Communication and Digital Economy in Nigeria
The President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Tasiu Saad Gidari – Wudil, speaking at the presentation said Idowu was chosen in recognition of his remarkable achievements in Engineering and excellent services to the prestigious professional body.
“Apart from producing the first Audit manual for the Society and assiduously enhancing the capacity of Engineers through various trainings, Engr. Idowu has been a very good ambassador of NSE. He was one of the best 50 Civil Servants in Nigeria that recently selected and completed Executive Public Leadership Programme of Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford, with his capstone project ranked the Best”, he stated
Penpushing further report that, receiving the award, Idowu who is also the Vice Chairman Nigerian Society of Engineers( NSE) Abeokuta branch, enthused that the honour would spur him to focus much more on the 3 main lofty missions of the great Nigerian Society of Engineers(NSE).
The awardee asserted that Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has been making meaningful contributions to the advancement of technology in the country as well as enhancing professional competence and development of her members.
Penpushing also reports that, Idowu noted that the society had efforts in the past years geared towards providing quality advice to the government and Industry, adding that the country can only get better with the active involvement of Nigerian Engineers.
