The global fans club of Nigerian Islamic musician Kabir Bukola Alayande popularly called Ere Asalatu on Sunday launched the club and inauguration of the executives at a well-attended ceremony held in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.
Penpushing reports that the colourful ceremony held at Neugate hotel Exclusive Event Centre was attended by hundreds of the members across the country, which also include annual ramadan lecture titled, ‘Islam Today’
The lecture was delivered by the famous Islamic cleric Sheikh Taofeeq Akewugba Gold, who explained that Islam is not terrorism religion as been made to believe in some quarters, stressing that the religion is based on three principles which include quaran, hadith and creativity.
Penpushing further reports that the ceremony which was organized by the fans club include recognition of notable supporters of the club, who were bestowed with awards, while number of Islamic singers entertained the audience.
The President of the Club Saheed Opadeji earlier in his speech described the club as foremost, with mission to empower members, which he said cut across both Christians and Muslims, stressing that Ere Asalau has through his uniqueness in Islamic song become a household name.
Penpushing also reports that he added that the mission among others is to portray Islam to best club ability and change the wrong notion that the religion is of violence, and disabuse minds of some set of people that the religion is about terrorism.
The club leader explained that as part of positive move of the club it is planning to float a Non-Governmental Organisation(NGO) for benefits of the society, stressing that the members would be first set of beneficiaries.
Penpushing reports that Opadeji disclosed that the club has been in existence for over 15 years with membership across the globe with headquarters in Abeokuta, explaining the official launched has just been officially launched with inauguration of the pioneer executives
