The kidnapped retired lecturer of Federal Polytechnic, Ofa in Kwara State, Fasasi Olanigan who regained freedom twenty-four hours after his abduction, has disclosed that his captors are Fulani herdsmen whose age range between 20 and 25 years.

Penpushing reports that, Olanigan made this known in an exclusive interview while narrating his sour experience in the hands of the fully armed kidnappers, who he said dragged him along the forest, before putting a telephone call across to his family to demand N25millon ransom.

The victim said the abductors with AK 47 riffles and swords did not even considered his age, adding that they beat him blue and black in the forest, after collecting his mobile phone to contact his family in a bid to collect ransom.

Penpushing further reports that, Olanigan noted that from his observation in the forest, the kidnappers knows the terrain of the forest even more that the residents of the neighbouring communities, as they walked him round, until when they were worn out and decided to have a nap.

The former polytechnic teacher said the pressure mounted by the hunters to locate them, forced them to abandon him in the forest, leading to his rescue by the hunters, who he said were proactive in the search mission.

Penpushing also reports that, Olanigan said after the rescue, the hunters took him to the palace of the traditional ruler of Isaga community, which was a stone throw to the scene of the attack, and thereafter taken to the police station.

The lucky survivor explained that, following the fall out of beating and injuries sustained he was taken to a private hospital for medical treatment, before he later joined his family, recalling that it was a torturous period for him in captivity.

Penpushing  reports that,  it is recalled that, the former lecturer  was on Wednesday  seized at gun point by the attackers at about 2pm in Isaga-Ibara Orile axis of the road, while travelling in his Toyota car from Abeokuta to Imasai , in Abeokuta North local government area of the state,

The victim was not that lucky, as the bandits who emerged from the bush dragged him out of the car and forced him back into the forest,  but  the other occupant managed to escape and  later raised alarm informing the family members of the ugly development.

The bandits, eight hours after the abduction contacted the family of the victim, demanding N25million ransom, to regain freedom, which they could not get following the hot pursuit and chase the hunters mounted on them
