The Muslim community in Ogun State on Sunday converged to celebrate the late Islamic leader, Alhaji Tajudeen Adeosun who died ten years ago, a ceremony which attracted hundreds of Muslim faithful and other personalities.
Penpushing reports that, the ceremony was held at the mosque of Albarka Islamic Society of Nigeria, located along Moshood Abiola way, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital, with Alhaji(Hon) Mutair Ajayi, who is the Chairman Abeokuta branch as the host.
The Wakeel Muslim of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, Sheik Iskeel Awwal popularly called ‘Sugar’ was the Guest lecturer, in his speech appreciated Allah for the life well spent by the deceased, describing him as a free giver.
Penpushing further reports that ,Awwal commended the late Islamic leader for his charity while alive, adding that he was always readily available to help at all time, stressing that some of his legacies left behind include mosque and hall among others which have remained memorable.
The National President and Chief Host at the occasion, Alhaji Isiaq Olu Jinaid earlier in his welcome address commended the planning committee for organizing a befitting remembrance ceremony for the benefactor, who died a decade ago.
Penpushing also reports that, Jinaid appreciated Allah for the sustenance of the Muslim society with a call on Muslims on need to leave as one family members, and always extend gestures, particularly for the needy in the society
The ceremony which highlight was launching of Hijrah calendar had in attendance notable dignitaries which include: Alhaji(Senator)Gbenga Kaka, who was former Deputy Governor in Ogun State, Ahaji Abdul Okewole and Alhaji Nurudeen Olaleye.
