The renowned Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde popularly called K1 De Ultimate has disclosed that he ventured into music industry after his mother, who was also a Waka musician in her youthful days, and expressed appreciation to the deceased to have paved the way for him , falling in love with music.
Penpushing reports that, Ayinde made the disclosure at the programme tagged ‘Time Out With Broadcasters’, organized by the Freelance Independent and Broadcasters Association of Nigeria(FIBAN) in his honour held in Abeokuta.
The fuji music maestro recalled that, his growing up was tough before coming to limelight, adding that he learnt number of trade which include refrigerators and air-condition repairs among others, explaining that, with all these he always find himself back into music.
Penpushing further reports that, he declared that he would remain grateful to Agarawu community in Lagos, where he started music as Ajiwere, and contested in many musical competitions, winning laurels for the community, hence, the support for him to do more.
The famous musician recalled that number of laurels he won in the music competitions remained a reference point to his success, adding that such wins, were motivating factor for him to do better, and gave thanked to God that his resilience has brought him fame and joy.
Penpushing also reports that, Ayinde revealed that he started music at age six, and has since not look back or derail on the profession he has passion for, adding that, the road was rough, but was able to weathered the storm
The Mayegun said he grew up in the streets, and know the language of the streets, emphasisng that such experience molded him to the right path, adding that, anybody with no street experience will lack knowledge of being proactive, explaining that, there is difference between academics and streets knowledge
‘I grew up in the streets and I understand street language very much. Streets taught me many things, and there is difference between academic in the four wall of university and the street. Street is university on its own’, he added
Penpushing further reports that, Ayinde said he is not a pompous and proud person as being speculated in some quarters, explaining, that, no nonsense nature in him and a as a disciplinarian were being misconstrued and mis-interpretated by some people
The Talazo music initiator said he is a caring and loving personality, contrary to negative believe in some quarters, adding that one important lesson he has learnt is that, there is no way one can satisfied all people, adding that he has put many of such blackmails behind him and remained focus in his chosen career
